ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is another commonly used 3D printer material. Best used for making durable parts.

  1. ABS is stronger than PLA
  2. It can also be post-processed with acetone to provide a glossy finish
  3. Durability in your 3D Printings.
  4. ABS filament is available in 1.75mm diameter.
  5. Add style and usability with temperature and glow in the dark color changing

Consistent Quality

The 3D Edge ABS Filament is produced from quality materials and is ideal for accurate printings. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) has a higher melting point and greater thermal endurance from other filament materials. It is more durable than PLA, so if you are looking for a high sturdiness material the ABS is the right for you! It will impart longevity to your printings.

Proper use of the ABS Filament demands a printer whose extruder can reach 250oC and a heated printing surface around 110οC.

Finishing Flexibility

3Dedge ABS Filament can be processed in a number of ways after printing is completed.

  1. Due to ABSs’ resilience, the process of removing the support structures is made with ease.
  2. The material can be smoothed using sandpaper.
  3. It reacts with acetone providing a glossy finish.
  4. Also, with the use of acetone it is possible to fuse two ABS surfaces.

This type of ABS filament (hyper color) will change colors depending on the temperature of the filament. The ABS filaments change color at approximately 31°C (88°F). Below 31°C the filaments are one color; above 31°C the filaments are a different color. Therefore, this ABS filament is heat activated. The easiest way to visualize this change is to simply blow a hair dryer on the filament.

Quality Control

To achieve high quality production, the right equipment is needed and it must be accurate. Also, chemical knowledge of the formula, a production area with high standards and quality control policy that ensures the product is reliable and the required characteristics and performance of the end product are as should be- all these are needed and provided. Our laboratory is fully equipped with the necessary machinery and a four-point control:

  1. The melting point of the material
  2. The level of moisture
  3. The Hardness
  4. And diameter control with a range of error less than 0.02mm.

All 3Dedge Filaments share the same properties and the best possible quality.

High Standard Packaging

3Dedge Filament packaging guarantees that the quality of your filament will not be affected in any way. The 3Dedge Filament pack includes:

  1. Silica Gel to absorb moisture
  2. Hermetically sealed membrane
  3. Heavy duty cardboard box to protect your filament and of course
  4. Your filament of choice.

You can also read our guide in our blog on how to store your filaments after you have removed the membrane.

Available in 2 packages: 0.5kg and 0.25kg.

3Dedge Filament consumables are available on our online shop in a variety of colors and great price.
