Consistent Quality

The 3Dedge PLA Filament is produced from renewable sources (such as corn) from organic materials and is safe, environmentally friendly and the production process requires less energy consumption compared to other plastics (such as those based on oil). The PLA (polylactic acid) is one of the most widespread materials for 3D printing (preceded by the ABS). The PLA is classed as a polymer. Aside from 3D printing, the PLA is often used in food packaging, such as candy wrappers and biodegradable medical implants (e.g. sultures).

Ease of Use

It is the ideal material for most 3D printers and rightly so- the PLA is handy for a wide range of 3D applications, since it has the advantage of being both odorless and does not require a heated surface on the printer.

COLOR CHANGE BY HEAT PLA FILAMENT

This type of PLA filament (hyper color) will change colors depending on the temperature of the filament. The PLA filaments change color at approximately 31°C (88°F). Below 31°C the filaments are one color; above 31°C the filaments are a different color. Therefore, this PLA filament is heat activated. The easiest way to visualize this change is to simply blow a hair dryer on the filament.

To achieve high quality production, the right equipment is needed and it must be accurate. Also, chemical knowledge of the formula, a production area with high standards and a quality control policy that ensures the product is reliable and the required characteristics and performance of the end product are as should be- all these are needed and provided. Our laboratory is fully equipped with the necessary machinery and a four-point control:

1. The melting point of the material
2. The level of moisture
3. The Hardness
4. And diameter control with a range of error less than 0.02mm.
